The Matt Ryan era in Atlanta came to an abrupt end on Monday when the Falcons dealt the former franchise quarterback for a third-round pick. Atlanta receiving only a third-round pick to take a $40-million dollar dead cap hit, a downgrade a quarterback, and not even receive the Colts’ best third-round pick makes this move even harder to swallow.

All that is left on Ryan’s resume is to win a Super Bowl, something Atlanta is yet to do as a franchise. Winning a Super Bowl with the Colts should cement Ryan’s legacy as a great quarterback one who deserves to be in Hall.
