Want to know more about Diablo 4 Obols? During your travels in Diablo 4, you’re definitely going to pick up Murmuring Obols at some point. Obols are a currency that can be traded at a Purveyor of Curiosities vendor, represented by a sack with a question mark next to stacked coins.
The Murmuring Obols are represented in the RPG game as two purple coins. We don’t know exactly how this mechanic will work until the Diablo 4 release date arrives, but this method was used during the last beta windows to obtain legendaries very easily. We’ll help you to know all about Diablo 4 Obols, including where you can find them, where you can spend them, and more.
The Server Slam includes the whole first act of Diablo 4, which equates to a sizeable amount of playable content. What’s more, all five character classes — Barbarian, Sorcerer, Necromancer, Rogue, and Druid — are available to try. If you didn’t take part in the previous betas, then we think it’s well worth jumping in to see whether the game’s for you.
As the name suggests, the Server Slam should allow Blizzard to get a handle on the technical side of things ahead of the action RPG’s full launch in just a few weeks. With that in mind, we wouldn’t be surprised if there are some technical hiccups over the testing period — just so you know!
The Server Slam lasts the full weekend, ending on Sunday the 14th May. It should also be noted that your progress in this beta will not carry over to the full release.
Will you be diving into Diablo 4 this weekend? Gather some allies and start demolishing demons in the comments section below.
This test differs from the previous ones in a few ways: It includes the updates Blizzard decided on following the last betas—details here(opens in new tab)—and also adjusts the Legendary item drop rate to what it’ll be in the actual game, so we’ll get a truer sense of early game’s pacing.
Progress won’t carry over to the launch version, so don’t get too attached to your character—or just remember what you did so you can recreate them. Character level maxes out at 20 in the beta, but you can keep exploring Diablo 4’s first act after you hit that cap.
Along with a chance to demo Diablo 4—and for Blizzard to identify server issues before the release—there are some Diablo 4 beta rewards you might want to pick up if you plan to get the full game:
- “Initial Casualty” title: Reach Kyovashad with one character
- “Early Voyager” title: Reach level 20 with one character
- Beta Wolf Pack cosmetic item: Reach level 20 on one character Cry of Ashava Mount Trophy: earned by defeating the world boss, Ashava, with a level 20 character
The third Diablo 4 open beta which developer Blizzard Entertainment is calling a Server Slam will give fans of the series one last chance to try out the game before it launches. The beta will start on May 12, and it will focus on the early parts of the campaign covering the prologue and Act 1, which takes place in the Fractured Peaks zone. Players will be able to max their characters to level 20 but can still play the beta throughout the weekend beyond that. Due to the open beta being available to anyone who wants to try it, players should expect long queue times.
Ashava has a number of moves you’ll need to be aware of, making her a more complicated and fun boss than most Diablo bosses of the past. Note that all of these attacks include persistent poison damage. She is Ashava the Pestilent, after all.
Another important note: Ashava scales based on the number of players fighting her, meaning she’ll be at her most powerful if a full cadre of 12 players is trying to take her down. You might have better luck with higher-skilled players at a lower player count.
During the previous beta you could exploit Ashava’s loot drops. When Ashava goes live in the Crucible, everyone playing the game has exactly 15 minutes to defeat her and loot up. If you can defeat her faster, simply loot and teleport back to town and then re-enter the Crucible. You’ll enter another instance of the fight and have another chance to take down the world boss and get more loot before the 15 minutes is up. If you’re in a party everyone has to leave the current instance to make this work.
We’ll see if this exploit still works during the Server Slam beta. And whether the servers can keep up with the slam! Good luck out there!
