BTS have some major news for their fans on the West Coast.
The Korean pop group announced the BTS Permission to Dance on Stage – LA mini-tour on Monday, marking their return to Los Angeles to perform four shows at the Sofi Stadium on Nov. 27, Nov. 28, Dec. 1 and Dec. 2, according to a press release.
The four in-person shows mark the first time since BTS and their fans, better known as the BTS Army, will meet face-to-face since the group’s 2019 world tour. BTS’ 2020 Map of the Soul tour was canceled in the wake of the pandemic.
The latest news also follows their recent announcement of a livestreaming concert “BTS Permission to Dance On Stage,” which will be held on Oct. 24.
BTS returns to the stage after a successful summer dominating the music charts.
The group led Billboard’s songs of summer chart with its second English-language single “Butter.”
The annual chart tracks the most popular songs from Memorial Day through Labor Day (this year’s charts tracked June 12 through Sept. 11) based on cumulative performance on the weekly streaming-, airplay- and sales-based Billboard Hot 100.
BTS’ “Butter” held firm at the No. 1 position for the duration of the seasonal chart, Billboard announced Sept. 7. That same day, BTS retook the No. 1 spot on the Hot 100 chart, thanks to the fiery Megan Thee Stallion remix.
Besides a collaboration with Megan Thee Stallion, BTS also recently linked up with Coldplay on the glittering “My Universe.”
According to Live Nation, fans who purchased VIP tickets for BTS’ 2020 North American Map of the Soul tour will receive first access to presale tickets on Oct. 5. All other ticket purchasers of the Map of the Soul Tour will get presale access Oct. 6.
Tickets go on sale to the general public on Oct. 9
