FedEx Loses Bid to Transfer Website Infringement Suit From Texas!– OnMyWay Mobile App User News

A Texas federal judge shot down FedEx’s request to move a patent-infringement suit over some of the shipping company’s website functions to Tennessee, saying that doing so could lead to inconsistent outcomes in another infringement case brought by R2 Solutions LLC.

FedEx Corporate Services Inc. can’t justify transferring the case to Tennessee, partly because R2 has asserted the same patents against other parties and at least one of those cases is ongoing, Judge Amos L. Mazzant ordered last week.

R2 has asserted its patents against a bevy of other companies in Texas, including Roku Inc., Expedia Group Inc.
