After years of feud rumours and fandom wars, Hailey Bieber and Selena Gomez have put an end to all the online hate by posing together at the Academy Museum Gala on October 15, 2022. The pair were photographed together at the Los Angeles event after arriving separately in equally stunning looks. Hailey Bieber is married to Justin Bieber. Selena Gomez used to date Justin Bieber. Naturally, this makes these women mortal enemies, right? Wrong.
Dressed in a crisp black suit, Gomez stood cheek to cheek with Bieber, who wore a chic, brown cutout dress, as seen in the photo shared by photographer Tyrell Hampton.
“Plot twist,” Hampton captioned the photo, referring to the complicated dynamic that fans assumed prevailed between the singer and the model.
Fans were losing their minds when they saw the photos, being happy to see the two women be on good terms with each other and act like best friends during the event.
Fans speculated that Hailey and Selena had a strenuous relationship due to Gomez’s past relationship with Justin Bieber prior to Hailey’s marriage to the superstar. At the same time, Gomez’s fans reportedly cyber-bullied Hailey due to her relationship with Bieber, as the two knew each other when Justin was still dating Gomez.
Hailey managed to clear the air during her recent appearance in the Call Her Daddy podcast. She clarified her relationship with Justin and how she “did not steal him” from Gomez. She also said that she was never “romantically involved” with Justin during his on-and-off relationship with Gomez and it was not in her nature to “mess with someone’s relationship.”
Selena Gomez had previously indirectly reacted to Hailey’s tell-all interview and asked her fans to practise kindness above all noting that “words matter” and no one deserves that kind of online hate.

According to Entertainment Tonight, a source close to the Yummy singer revealed his reaction to ex Selena and wife Hailey Bieber getting together at the recent event and also posing for photos together. The source mentioned, “Justin is very happy with the fact that they can all move on and that it can be peaceful between everyone.” Another source also informed what Selena and Hailey wanted to convey through their photo and said the two wanted to show everyone that there’s “no beef or bad feelings between them anymore.”
