Just because Noah Schnapp stars on a hit Netflix TV show doesn’t mean he doesn’t get starstruck every once in a while — like the time he met Zendaya at the 2019 People’s Choice Awards.
During a recent appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, Noah opened up further about the encounter, quipping: “Well, I mean, who’s not obsessed with Zendaya?” (Certainly no one we know!)
The Stranger Things actor went on to describe their meeting, proving that he remembers each moment of their conversation down to every last detail. “It was amazing,” Noah said. “I just remember seeing her out of the corner of my eye and walking up to her. I was really, really nervous. And I was like, ‘Oh my god, it’s actually her. This is the first time I’m meeting her.’”
Noah added that Zendaya smelled great and “was so cute,” recounting that she bent down to say hi to him. “Yeah, I remember everything,” he said with a laugh.
In his conversation with Jimmy, it came to light that the two stars had been chatting before Noah ditched him to chat with the Euphoria actor. “You came over to me but you were looking at Zendaya,” Jimmy joked, with Noah responding: “You know I love you, but I love Zendaya too.” We don’t blame him!
Noah previously documented his meeting with Zendaya on IG (and even tagged Jimmy, who can be spotted in the background of the pic). We haven’t heard anything from Zendaya yet about their encounter, but we are totally stanning this budding friendship. Here’s hoping these two actors share the screen one day in the future!
