Mariah Carey delivered her message while singing on the court, almost outside the range of human hearing. It’s time for what? You might be wondering as you watch the clip of Curry wearing latex pumping away on a peloton. Is it time to fix the rent? Gas bill strike? The end of fossil fuel production? No, it’s Christmas time, Carrie reminds us, as her Halloween costume turns into a sexy Santa suit.
The countdown to Christmas has officially begun.
Mariah Carey, the highly-recognized Queen of Christmas, is ready to get the party started.
The award-winning singer shared a very festive video across all of her social media accounts late last night to let fans know her best-selling Christmas album is ready to be defrosted.
In the video, Carey magically transformed from a spooky witch into one of Santa’s best helpers, complete with a reindeer and the jingle-jangle of the merry season.
“IT’S TIIIIIIIIME!!!!!!!!” Carey exclaimed in the caption before adding “#MariahSZN” as an ode to one of her most celebrated albums.
Carey’s 1994 Christmas album, Merry Christmas, has sold millions of copies to date, and fans’ obsession with her versions of the classic holiday tunes doesn’t look to be freezing over anytime soon.
Celebrities like Paris Hilton, Andy Cohen, Stephanie Beatriz and Snooki were among those rallying in the comments with support.
The illustrated book was written by Carey and Michaela Angela Davis (who also co-wrote the singer’s 2020 memoir The Meaning of Mariah Carey), with illustrations by Fuuji Takashi.
In her memoir, Carey revealed that while her family didn’t have much growing up, her mother always tried to make Christmas as memorable as possible for her and her siblings, even writing in the book that she once received a wrapped-up orange just so she had a gift to open.
The new children’s book of course is less bleak, offering a more optimistic and hopeful feeling for the season. In a line from the book, Carey writes, “There was one time unlike any other, when everyone pitched in and helped one another… Christmas time!”
By the way, living in Carey’s house around Christmas seems either charming or a little intimidating, depending on how much you like Hallmark fare. “There are rules I’ve set,” Curry told USA Today, as divas do. “I don’t care who it is – the kids, if I have guests, whatever – no one is allowed to play or watch anything other than Christmas-related stuff. If I wake up in the middle of the night and go into the living room and the music and lights aren’t turned on, I can’t handle with her “.
Carey, whose “All I Want for Christmas Is You” is a festive favorite every holiday season, says she wanted to write a book that would be just as timeless as the song, calling The Christmas Princess a “new holiday fairytale.”
