Aaron Rodgers speaks out on his future with trade talk intensifying!– OnMyWay Mobile App User News

At a charity flag football event in Laguna Beach, California, the Green Bay Packers quarterback did a quick interview with former NFL wide receiver Brandon Marshall for his “I AM ATHLETE” podcast. Per usual, Rodgers didn’t speak in anything but the broadest terms, but he did say that his decision would be coming soon.

It could be as simple as Rodgers, who takes almost perverse pride in being able to say that no one who covers the NFL for a living knows what he’s going to do, using the power he has amassed over the Jets (who desperately want him) and the Packers (who desperately want to get rid of him) to insist that no one should say anything until the delicate genius grants them express written permission to do so.

So what will happen? He can’t pretend that the time for making a decision hasn’t come and gone beyond Wednesday, when the new league year begins and his massive contract for 2023 lands officially on the Green Bay books.

Expect something tomorrow or Wednesday. Expect silence until then, under the apparent mandate from Mr. Rodgers that he’s the one who will control all information as to the neighborhood he’ll inhabit in 2023.

Fantasy Impact:
There is enough smoke here to start processing the fantasy implications of an Aaron Rodgers trade to the Jets. Garrett Wilson, Elijah Moore, and Corey Davis are all under contract, and all three would get a boost if Rodgers is under center in 2023. As for Rodgers, he’ll have a chance to rebound from his QB15 finish last season, though he’s still dealing with a relatively raw receiving corps. Davis is a productive vet, while Wilson was one of the top rookie receivers in 2022, so this does look like an upgrade from his weapons in Green Bay. Jordan Love will finally get his chance to start, though he’s expected to be a downgrade from Rodgers in his first season as the starter. The Packers will likely try to establish a strong running game to take the pressure off of Love.

NFL free agency: Jets lose QB Mike White to Dolphins while waiting for Aaron Rodgers

While they wait for Aaron Rodgers, the New York Jets lost one of their own when quarterback Mike White reportedly agreed to join the Miami Dolphins, according to Adam Schefter. The deal is reportedly worth two years and $16 million, per Schefter.

White started four games in 2022 after he took over for Zach Wilson in Week 11. Although White only went 1-3, he averaged almost 300 passing yards per game with 3 touchdowns and 4 interceptions. White also started three games in 2021. Now White, who will turn 27 at the end of the month, will return to southern Florida to compete for the backup role behind Tua Tagovailoa. White grew up and played part of his collegiate career in Florida.

If Rodgers was to move from the Packers, it would end Rodgers’ time in Wisconsin following 18 seasons with the team.

During his time in Green Bay, Rodgers has won the Super Bowl once and had extremely high levels of personal success, even though the team often fell short of expectations. He ranks first in franchise history in passing touchdowns and second in passing yards.

Although reports suggest Rodgers might be on the way out, Packers president and CEO Mark Murphy isn’t ruling anything out.

“He’s obviously a great player. Four-time MVP. But I think it’s trying to find what he wants and what we want, and hopefully, we can find a win-win situation,” Murphy said, per the NFL website.
