Hollywood star Michael B Jordan, on Tuesday, unveiled the trailer of his directorial debut film “Creed 3”.
After waiting four years to see how Adonis Creed’s story will progress, the third installment of Creed will be coming to theaters soon. What should make fans very excited about this upcoming sports drama is that Michael B. Jordan will be making his directorial debut as well as reprising the lead role in the series. After the Creed III trailer just dropped, Michael B. Jordan shares how grateful he is for his first directorial project.
Taking to Instagram, Jordan shared the trailer which he caption, “My directorial debut?! Still sounds crazy to say but there’s no film that has been more personal to me and no film I’ve felt more ready to steer. Excited to share the first trailer for Creed 3. To my cast & crew thanks for working so hard to continue the legacy of the franchise.“
Jordan also stepped behind the camera for the first time to helm this third instalment in the boxing drama franchise. Tessa Thompson and Phylicia Rashad will reprise their respective roles, but Sylvester Stallone will not be back as Rocky Balboa.
Tessa Thompson is reprising her role as Donnie’s girlfriend Bianca and Phylicia Rashad is returning as his stepmother Mary Anne. Jonathan Majors is joining the cast as Anderson Dame, an apparent antagonist to Adonis, reported Variety.
The Creed 3 trailer appears to tell that Rocky Balboa is alive. As such, though Sylvester opted not to appear in the movie, there may be a chance for him to make his presence felt, even through a flashback or cameo, akin to Milo Ventimiglia’s arrival as Robert Balboa in Creed 2. Sylvester is a producer on Creed 3, so his appearance in the film, even only for a brief scene, is possible. Not featuring Rocky in a significant role is unlikely to impact Creed 3 movie negatively.
