Guard Shai Gilgeous-Alexander was named the Western Conference Player of the Week after leading the Oklahoma City Thunder to a 3-1 week.
Gilgeous-Alexander averaged 27.5 points, seven assists and 6.3 rebounds per game during that stretch. He also recorded a triple-double during the Thunder’s 108-94 win over the Denver Nuggets on Wednesday – scoring 27 points, snagging 11 rebounds and posting 12 assists.
Although the Thunder had a successful week, they are still low in the Western Conference standings. Oklahoma City sits as the 13th seed with a 12-20 record.
The Thunder return to action at 9 p.m. Tuesday against the Sacramento Kings on the road.
The New York Knicks’ Kemba Walker was named the Eastern Conference Player of the Week.
