Wisconsin convinced that cheese curd is reaching a next level of stardom.!– OnMyWay Mobile App User News

With Culver’s CurderBurger return and National Cheese Curd Day coming up, we’re convinced the cheese curd is reaching a next level of stardom in Wisconsin.

Culver’s announcement that the CurderBurger will return for a second year through Oct. 31 while supplies last got me thinking:

Will Wisconsinites stop at nothing until there are cheese curds on everything?

What makes this burger special?

The delicious crown of golden fried cheese is what makes this burger one of a kind. The cheese crown is made up of a blend of yellow and white Cheddar Cheese curds all surrounded by crispy seasoned breadcrumbs. We’re incredibly proud of our Wisconsin Cheese Curds and our relationship with Wisconsin dairy, so the CurderBurger is just another way for us to showcase our trademark quality and Wisconsin roots.

Beyond the burger itself, the way the CurderBurger came into existence is a story worth telling. It all began as an April Fools’ Day prank we posted on social media – but when guests made it clear that they wanted it to be a real menu item, we found a way to surprise and delight them and give them exactly what they wanted. And what better time to deliver it than on October 15: National Cheese Curd Day.

Wisconsin’s news cycle was clogged with the gooey CurderBurger for an entire week. It even inspired the magazine team to publish a roundup of local curd burgers. And as Wisconsinites gear up to celebrate what’s all but become a state holiday on Oct. 15 — National Cheese Curd Day — I foresee the same thing happening again this year.

It’s not until you’re out of Wisconsin — or leave and come back — that you realize just how pervasive our cheese curd culture is.

“We realized we had to bring it back in a much larger way for 2022,” Quinn Adkins, Culver’s director of menu development, said in a statement, “and we’re hopeful our guests will say it was worth the wait.”

The Curderburger is a Deluxe Butterburger topped with a “crown of golden fried cheese,” made with cheddar.

Customers who buy a Curderburger will have the opportunity to win a CurderBurger t-shirt. They can simply upload a photo of their burger or a receipt between Oct. 12 through Oct. 25.
