Shave your beard off at your own risk, folks. Kansas City’s Travis Kelce learned that this week.
After initially shaving just his mustache, the Pro Bowl tight end Kelce showed up to practice on Monday with a clean-shaven look — a different look from his grizzly beard appearance people are accustomed to. (Seriously, he looks way different).
Kelce’s new look sent social media into a frenzy. Fans across Twitter shared their displeasure and shock with Kelce’s new style. As many users rightfully pointed out, Kelce looks completely different. As one user put it brilliantly, he looks like “the top salesman every month at a used car dealership.”
Being a man of the people, Kelce got in on the joke and heard the noise on the internet. He took a funny job at the situation:
This is a very good lesson in grooming. Always be aware of the impression shaving your beard might have on social media. Especially if you’re widely known as arguably the best tight end in football.
