When you’re looking for a budget ultrabook, the HP Pavilion Aero is a pretty solid choice. While the Pavilion Aero feels cheaper than the sturdy metal chassis of the Yoga 7i (our budget ultrabook pick), it usually costs less. Light and compact, the Aero has a decent battery life (about 10 hours from our tests), and it offers a decent unlit keyboard and trackpad. Do note that this device does not include a USB-C charger in the package.
MacBook deals
If you want to find discounts on MacBooks, you should probably start with stores like B&H Photo. Though the deals won’t be higher than $100 off, it’s still worth trying to get a rare holiday bargain. And don’t worry if searching for deals sounds a little overwhelming. We’re on the hunt and we’ll keep you posted on the best MacBook deals we can find.
The best Mac laptop for most people is the 13-inch MacBook Air with Apple’s M1 processor. It’s fast enough for everyday use and the M1 even handles professional work like 3D rendering or compiling code. It has a great keyboard and trackpad, a colorful high-resolution screen, and outstanding battery life. The only real downside is that some Mac apps aren’t optimized for the new M1 chip yet, so you may notice some lag until they’re updated. Although it’s possible we’ll see this model with 8 GB RAM and a 256 GB SSD drop another $50 sometime during Cyber Week, this is still a solid deal if you don’t want to take a chance on missing out.
If you have a Costco membership, you can get an additional $50 off the 2020 Apple MacBook Air. This well-balanced MacBook is specced with an eight-core Apple M1 CPU processor, 8 GB of RAM, and a 256 GB SSD. Between its snappy performance, comfortable keyboard, and decent storage space, we think the Air is the best all-around option for most people. The only real downside we’ve noted is that some Mac apps have yet to be optimized for the new M1 chip, so you may notice some lag until they’re updated. This $800 deal for Costco members matches the previous lowest price we’ve seen for this configuration.
Business laptop deals
If you work from home, you’ve probably thought about buying a business laptop. The business-catered devices are great for upping the ante when it comes to work flow and efficiency. We’ve found that sites like Lenovo Direct or Ebay are carrying the best deals this Cyber Week.
