A topic of conversation this NBA offseason will be whether or not the Utah Jazz decide to blow it up.
The Jazz have been at the top of the Western Conference for years now but have been unable to take that next step toward a championship. Donovan Mitchell has turned into one of the best guards in the game while Rudy Gobert is a premier defensive player.
The relationship between the two players has been rocky and the front office will need to decide on who will be used as a trade piece.
If the answer is Mitchell, there will be plenty of teams interested in an elite point guard. The Miami Heat come to mind immediately.
Despite adding Kyle Lowry last offseason, Miami could be in for another star at the top of the offense. It might be surprising to see the top seed in the Eastern Conference re-shape like this, but if the Heat do not come away with the title, it could happen once again.
Let’s take a closer look at what this trade could look like between the Miami Heat and Utah Jazz.
